Our Head of Global Sales at SAS Cargo, Camilla Gram, recently returned from a valuable three-day visit to Tokyo – an important cargo destination for both export and import shipments. During her time there, she, along with our Area Sales Manager Japan & Korea, Katsuya Inaba, and Sales Representative, Haruhiko Hashiguchi, met and engaged in insightful dialogues with our esteemed customers and partners:
• ANA Cargo
• Japanese Air Cargo Forwarders Association (JAFA)
• Nippon Express
• Hankyu Hanshin Express
• Scan Global Logistics
Camilla's visit underscored our commitment to deepening and strengthening connections in Tokyo and fostering our current and future partnerships.
“It was a pleasure for me to visit our customers and partners face to face for the first time since the pandemic. I appreciated the warm reception received and the open and honest discussions about our customer dedication, network plans, and sustainability focus during my stay. The ongoing collaboration and support are crucial elements in our shared success,”
SAS Cargo is proud to announce a significant enhancement to our Boston route, making it an even more attractive destination for our valued cargo customers. We are thrilled to introduce daily widebody flights to and from Copenhagen and Boston, representing a transformative move that ensures increased capacity and efficiency.
SAS Cargo is set to participate in the Boston Seafood Expo North America from March 10 to 12, 2024. Our esteemed representatives, Petter Slette, the Country Sales Manager for Norway, and Nicklas Krandorf, the Sales Manager for Scandinavia, will be present to meet with customers and partners, reinforcing the strategic importance of this improved cargo route.
We look forward to demonstrating the advantages of our daily widebody flights, ensuring that Boston, in both inbound and outbound directions to Copenhagen, remains a vital hub in our global network.
As part of SAS' summer program 2024, a ninth destination will be added to the North American network. On June 17th SAS will start connecting cargo and customers with daily nonstop service to Atlanta from Copenhagen.
In the southeastern United States, Atlanta stands as a crucial commercial, financial, and transportation center. Hosting over 75 percent of Fortune 1000 companies and offices of approximately 1,250 multinational corporations, it further solidifies its role as a key player in the business landscape.
In a significant move, SAS is not only unveiling a new destination but is also enhancing its frequencies to North America throughout the summer season. The Copenhagen-New York (JFK) route will now feature up to two daily flights, complementing the existing daily flights to New York-Newark Airport from Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen. Additionally, SAS is elevating its Copenhagen to Boston flights to daily operations, up from six times a week during the summer. Furthermore, a fourth weekly flight from Copenhagen to Toronto is being introduced.
