Established Business Relationship for U.S. bound shipments

As you are probably aware, Security Administration (TSA) and Transport Canada has recently implemented new emergency measures.

Cargo

As you are probably aware, Security Administration (TSA) and Transport Canada has recently implemented new emergency measures, in respect of all air cargo destined for or transiting/transferring through the United States, where such cargo originates from Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

In order to be in compliance with these regulations, we ask you to implement the following with immediate effect.

*Note, if not in compliance, shipment/s will be subject to rejection during acceptance process at our GHA.

  • For all U.S. bound shipments, the EBR statement form must be completed and signed. The freight forwarder (Customer) must ensure, that two (2) copies of the EBR statement are accompanying the shipment during transportation (attached outside the document pouch). One document follows the shipment, whereas the second document will be archived for 120 days, at the last point of departure.

For the EBR statement, the IATA Standard format must be used as this is legally agreed upon by TSA and IATA representing the airlines. Example attached.

For now, only paper documents (EBR confirmation form) are accepted, as no electronic process has been implemented yet. No EAW allowed, only EAP.
