At SAS Cargo, we take pride in being the leading air cargo carrier to, from, via, and within Scandinavia. With cargo capacity on up to 1,100 flights covering the entire region, we utilize both the SAS fleet and dedicated truck operations to ensure efficient and reliable transportation. Through strategic partnerships with other carriers, we extend our air freight services to all continents.
Here are some key highlights of SAS Cargo:
Fully Owned Subsidiary:
We are a fully owned subsidiary of the SAS Group, commercializing belly capacity on the SAS network while outsourcing road feeder services, ground handling, and business processing.
Global Reach:
SAS Cargo operates to and from approximately 136 destinations in 31 countries, transporting over 55,000 tons of goods annually to more than 1,900 customers worldwide.
Innovative Solutions:
As pioneers in air cargo digitalization, we launched the first booking portal in 2015, with over 80% of bookings now made online. Additionally, we are compliant with ISO14001 standards and CEIV certified to handle pharmaceutical cargo.
Strategic Priorities:
Our focus is on retaining and strengthening our position in the cargo market to and from Scandinavia. This involves securing cost competitiveness, becoming the preferred air cargo carrier in the region, and investing in sustainability.
Fuel Efficiency and Capacity Utilization:
Passengers and cargo are carried on the same flights, maximizing the utilization of our fleet. The majority of SAS Cargo's long-haul flights are operated with our fuel-efficient Airbus A350 aircraft, which produces 25% fewer emissions compared to its predecessors. In Europe, we complement our narrow-body aircraft and road feeder service (RFS) network with cargo capacity on wide-body aircraft to selected destinations.
With a dedicated team of approximately 93 full-time employees, our headquarters in Copenhagen serve as the hub of our operations, with a presence in three continents through seven country offices and 17 GSAs.
