Extremely flammable substances discovered in cargo and baggage

Transport Canada has identified the problem of persons sending white or yellow phosphorous which is extremely flammable, packed in baggage or send as cargo. For aditional information please read this document.

Application for Overfly Permit


Shipments to, from and via an airport in Denmark.

Any shipment containing weapons, explosives, war equipment and munitions etc. imported to, exported from or transferred via an airport in Denmark (CPH) must have an Overfly Permit before departure from previous station. The permit must be attached to the AWB at delivery on export station.

For Norway:

Import shipments.

Arms and ammunition : Import Permit to be obtained from the Norwegian Police Department at airport of destination.

For Sweden:

Import shipments.

Sporting arms: License from country administration.

Transfer shipments.

Arms, ammunition and explosives: Transit License issued by Inspektionen for Strategiska Produkter (ISP), Klarabergsviadukten 90, P.O. Box 70252, 10722 Stockholm (Phone: 08/4063113) at a small fee.

Application for transit of defence material.  


License for transit is not necessary if the transit is a delivery from one EU or EEA country to another EU or EEA country and there is a valid export license from the exporting EU or EEA country.

Stations intending to ship such consignments have to request that such license be obtained by the Freight dept. at the transit station concerned.

Do not ship the goods until confirmation granting transhipment has been received, (will take approx. 10 days). The license application should contain number of articles, net weight and gross weight, calibre, value, shipper, consignee and purpose.
