Hidden Dangerous Goods
Many of the shipments containing hidden dangerous goods are discovered during security screening. Unfortunately some of them make their way onboard the aircraft. We call this an incident. This, combined with the fact that the shipment could have disastrous consequences on the safety of the flight, is the background for the flight safety guidelines that can be downloaded by clicking on the link to the right.
If an incident like this happens, the Civil Aviation Authorities as well at the airline operator must be informed. They will launch an investigation where the involved parties will be held responsible for their actions.
Leakage of acid from batteries, exploding spray cans, and paint leaking due to badly fastened lids are examples of what could happen, and in turn could cause fire, explosions etc.
We hope to eradicate incidents and accidents due to hidden dangerous goods via your and your customer¹s awareness of the consequences and the actions you can take to prevent these situations.
